What You Should Do
Stop using this product immediately. Do not consume, use, or distribute it.
Dealers will inspect and repair the interior vertical joint as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed May 18, 2026. Owners may contact International's customer service at 1-800-448-7825. International's number for this recall is 26504. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning May 11, 2026.
Affected Products
2025 IC BUS CESB. International Motors, LLC (International) is recalling certain 2023-2027 IC Bus CESB and 2025-2027 IC Bus EVSB school buses. The body panel joint may have been attached without sufficient epoxy coverage. As such these vehicle fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 221, "School Bus Body Joint Strength."

The body panels may separate during a crash, reducing structural integrity and increasing the risk of injury.
